Telstra Health has announced a major partnership with Salesforce and Snowflake to modernise Australia’s virtual healthcare services. The alliance, revealed in May 2025, seeks to improve patient access and deliver more integrated care for millions across the country.

The initiative aims to address long-standing inefficiencies in healthcare data management. By unifying patient records, clinical data, and care workflows into a single cloud-based platform, Telstra Health plans to simplify administrative processes and enhance the quality of care. The collaboration combines Salesforce’s patient engagement tools with Snowflake’s cloud infrastructure.

“We are reinventing how healthcare connects people and data,” said Elizabeth Koff, Managing Director of Telstra Health. “This cloud-powered platform allows us to deliver faster, safer, and more personalised care for Australians.”

The move is seen as a significant development in the evolution of digital health in Australia. Industry analysts suggest it will increase pressure on other providers to replace legacy systems and adopt modern, integrated technologies.

Data privacy remains a key concern. Experts have stressed the importance of rigorous security standards, particularly when consolidating sensitive patient data on cloud platforms.

Nevertheless, sector momentum appears to be accelerating. Telstra Health’s strategy reflects a broader shift towards digital systems where speed, safety, and patient-centred care are prioritised. Analysts believe this latest investment will help position virtual care as a core feature of Australia’s healthcare delivery model.
